Ideal for:
Sensor development
Electrochemical analysis
Features:
Easy and Rapid interchange of working electrodes
Effective for a wide range of solvents - Body and tubing made from KYNAR and PEEK
Low internal volume, varies from few nanoliters to microliters
Stationary with syringe or flowing with pump introduction of samples
3 flow modes: conventional laminar flow, radial flow and wall-jet
Cypress' pulse dampener will smooth out the flow when peristaltic pumps used
Cypress' on-line oxygen purge system allows oxygen-free flow experiments
Introduction:
Cypress Systems is in the process of developing a complete Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) to aid in the
areas of sensor development and routine electrochemical analysis. The EC-FIA includes pumps for the flow and loading
the valve sample loop, a computer controlled injection valve, a Cypress Systems Pulse Damper and flow cell, CL010.
As can be seen the carrier solution is pumped first to the Pulse Damper to remove the peristaltic pulsations then onto the
valve. Pump 2 pulls sample from it reservoir to the valve sample loop. The timing of the sample injections and sample
loop filling is automated through a software interface. The connection to the computer is made through the parallel port.
The experiment can be setup to perform repetitive injections taking care of timing of pump 2, which fills the valve sample
loop. The valve can also be controlled manually.
In the present design, 2 peristaltic pumps are being used. The flow rate and flow direction are set manually on each pump.
